Important: By using OmniJudge MTG ("the Software"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Software developed and distributed by Gearsoft Engineering ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By installing, accessing, or using the Software, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Software for your personal purposes.

2.1 Permitted Uses

Searching the Scryfall card database for Magic: The Gathering cards
Using the AI Rules Judge to get rulings and interpretations
Tracking life totals and commander damage during gameplay
Managing your personal decks and collections

2.2 Prohibited Uses

Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the Software
Removing or modifying any proprietary notices
Using the Software for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Violating Wizards of the Coast's intellectual property rights
Using the AI Judge during sanctioned tournament play (if prohibited by event rules)
Sharing your license with unauthorized users
Attempting to abuse or exploit the AI service for non-MTG purposes

3. User Conduct and Responsibilities

3.1 Your Queries

You are solely responsible for the queries and information you submit to the AI Judge feature. You represent and warrant that:

Your use complies with all applicable laws and regulations
You will not submit harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable content
You will not attempt to manipulate or abuse the AI service
You understand that AI responses are for informational purposes and not official tournament rulings

3.2 Magic: The Gathering Compliance

You agree to:

Respect Wizards of the Coast's trademarks and copyrights
Follow official Magic: The Gathering tournament rules when applicable
Not use the Software to violate any tournament or event policies
Understand that the Software is not affiliated with or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Integration Services

The Software integrates with third-party services including:

Google Gemini AI (AI Rules Judge)
Scryfall API (card database and search)

4.2 Third-Party Terms

Your use of these integrated services is subject to their respective terms of service. We are not responsible for:

The availability, performance, or reliability of third-party services
Changes to third-party APIs, terms, or pricing
Loss of functionality due to third-party service issues
Accuracy of card data from Scryfall
Accuracy of AI-generated rulings or interpretations

4.3 Card Data Attribution

Card data is provided by the Scryfall API. Magic: The Gathering card names, artwork, and related trademarks are property of Wizards of the Coast LLC. This Software is not produced by, endorsed by, supported by, or affiliated with Wizards of the Coast.

5. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Software is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Software, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

5.1 Local Storage

The Software stores preferences and data locally on your device
You have full control over your local data
Data is deleted when you uninstall the app

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Rights

The Software, including all code, designs, interfaces, and documentation, is protected by copyright laws and international treaties. Gearsoft Engineering retains all rights, title, and interest in the Software.

6.2 Trademarks

"OmniJudge MTG" and the Gearsoft Engineering name and logo are trademarks of Gearsoft Engineering. You may not use these marks without prior written permission.

6.3 Third-Party Intellectual Property

Magic: The Gathering, the mana symbols, card names, and related trademarks are property of Wizards of the Coast LLC. We respect and acknowledge these trademarks.

7. AI Rules Judge Disclaimer

7.1 Not Official Rulings

IMPORTANT: The AI Rules Judge provides interpretations and guidance based on Magic: The Gathering rules, but these are NOT official tournament rulings. For sanctioned play, always consult a certified judge.

7.2 AI Limitations

You acknowledge that:

AI responses may contain errors or inaccuracies
The AI may not be aware of the most recent rules updates or card errata
Complex interactions may be interpreted incorrectly
The AI is a tool for learning and casual play, not tournament adjudication
You should verify important rulings with official Wizards of the Coast resources

8. Warranties and Disclaimers

8.1 "AS IS" Provision

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT.

8.2 No Guarantee of Results

We do not guarantee that:

The Software will meet your specific requirements
The Software will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
AI-generated rulings will be accurate or complete
Card data from Scryfall will be current or error-free
The Software will be suitable for tournament play
Third-party services (Gemini AI, Scryfall) will remain available

8.3 Beta Features

Some features may be designated as beta or experimental. These features are provided without warranty and may be modified or discontinued at any time.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GEARSOFT ENGINEERING SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of data or gameplay information
Damages resulting from third-party service failures
Damages resulting from incorrect AI rulings or card data
Disqualifications, penalties, or losses in tournament play
Any damages exceeding $100 USD or the amount paid for the Software (whichever is lower)

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through the Software or via email. Your continued use of the Software after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Software at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and delete all copies.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Software shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Gearsoft Engineering regarding the Software and supersede all prior agreements.
