Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Software developed and distributed by Gearsoft Engineering (a sole proprietorship of John Geary, the "Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By installing, accessing, or using the Software, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Alpha License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Software for your personal purposes during this limited Alpha phase (limited to 1,000 active seats).

2.1 Permitted Uses

• Searching the Scryfall card database for Magic: The Gathering cards.
• Using the AI Rules Judge to get rulings and interpretations for informational purposes.
• Using Match Note to record game state or strategic observations.
• Accessing utility tools including the Mana Calculator, Commander Tax tracker, and Chaos D20.

3. AI Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The AI Rules Judge uses large language models to interpret game rules. AI-generated content may be incorrect, incomplete, or outdated.

• Rulings provided are for informational purposes only and do not supersede official tournament rules or a Head Judge's decision.
• Gearsoft Engineering is not responsible for any losses, disputes, or game outcomes resulting from the use of AI-generated advice.

4. Anti-Abuse & Technical Limits

To ensure service availability for all MagicCon attendees, we enforce the following:

• Rate Limiting: Use is limited to 20 AI queries per rolling hour.
• Security: Any attempt to bypass authentication or scrape data will result in a permanent UID block.

5. Fan Content Policy

OmniJudge MTG is unofficial Fan Content permitted under the Fan Content Policy. Not approved/endorsed by Wizards. Portions of the materials used are property of Wizards of the Coast. ©Wizards of the Coast LLC. Fans are allowed to use Wizards' IP under the policy.
